Harriet has recently worked with London Contemporary Dance School and Oundle School to provide Eating Disorder and Body Image Training.
Who is the course for?
This is a course for counsellors, nutritionists or other mental health professionals, seeking to improve their knowledge and skills in working with clients with body image concerns.
What will I gain from the training?
On this training, you will learn about body image and how this develops. Harriet will then take you through specific knowledge, skills and techniques, which can be used when supporting clients to help them improve body image and self-esteem.
Harriet is an Integrative Counsellor, utilising skills predominantly from Motivational Enhancement Therapy and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy. She also draws on other tools that are particularly helpful in working with this clients with poor body image and sees the client relationship as paramount for healing.
This training will give you:-
1. An understanding about what we mean by body image and how this develops.
2. Specific skills and techniques, which can be used to engage clients in improving body image.
3. Detailed and comprehensive training manual as an ongoing reference tool.
